Our innovative Embossed Wall Flats are designed to expand in any direction with an automatic pattern repeat. Cover a existing wall, help disguise a not-so-smooth wall or add a modern pattern to any room setting. They are good for the environment too, because they are molded from Bagasse Pulp, which is 100% pre-consumer sugarcane waste with no chemical fillers or additives. Customize them by rotating every other tile or row, mix-and-match patterns or paint them to coordinate with your decor. (Tiles shown in context photo have been primed and painted.) The rule is there are no rules and the important thing is to have fun with it. Its low stress, low commitment and a big payoff. Color: Off-white paintable surface. No chemical fillers or additives. Hand: Feels like a dense hardboard.
Bagasse is the fibrous matter that remains after sugarcane or sorghum stalks are crushed to extract their juice. A byproduct of sugarcane, Bagasse is one of the worlds most renewable sources because sugarcane can be harvested up to 3 times a year. The total harvest worldwide is more than 1.2 bilion metric tons yearly. 3 ton of sugarcane equals 1 ton of bagasse.
Bagasse, is also compostable and therefore 100% biodegradable at the end of its life cycle. Wall Flats are re-using the waste of sugarcane production instead of burning it.
