Big news! After months of waiting, paperwork, and audits, Re:modern has just received certification as a Bay Area Green Business through our county's green business pilot program. We always knew we were green and now it's official. We're happy to be one of the first certified green businesses in our area to do this and hope it inspires other companies to become more green.

Did you see us in the Living Green feature in the new November issue of Better Homes and Gardens? We're so excited to be in there, check out the lovely photo shoot they did with some of our bamboo tabletop items. Better Homes and Gardens holds special memories for us here because it was one of David's grandmother's favorite magazines and she was one cool and crafty lady.
What does Bette Midler, Harlem, and our little store have to do with each other? You'll never guess, so we'll just tell you. The Broadway musical, Wicked, teamed up with non-profit New York Restoration Project to build a community garden in Harlem. On Oct. 28th, The Friendship Garden will have its opening ceremony in conjunction with a big neighborhood block party hosted by NYRP and the cast of Wicked. Re:modern was invited to be one of the event's green supporters. Stop on by to see NYRP Founder, Bette Midler, unveil the new garden and maybe you'll be one of the lucky guests to receive a Re:modern goodie pack!

Look for us on the newsstands! The editors of Consumer Reports has featured Re:modern in their new October/November issue of ShopSmart Magazine. We're particularly thrilled about Shop Smart choosing our shop as one of their featured ecofriendly "Sites To See" because the experts at ConsumerWebWatch.org pre-screened our site for "great green products at good prices", customer service guidelines, and key information disclosure. We're so honored they chose our store as a source for gifts and home accents!

Fashion site Spree New York's Editor-In-Chief, Linday Anvik, emailed us to say that they "love love love re:modern". Their upcoming Spreetail Shopping Guide will only feature Spree's favorite online shops, and Re:modern is one of them.
