Re:modern is a design firm that specializes in creating modern and sustainable environments. We are experts in navigating the process to bring dream spaces to reality.
Our approach is professional and client-focused. We listen, we see, and then turn project constraints into design opportunities. Every project is different and we love to work as part of a team. We thrive on delivering value-added solutions to craft the best design and experience possible.
Principal Architect, Mona, is particularly good at creating flexible, functional, and sustainable spaces. She brings a multi-disciplinary perspective to situating design outside traditional practice boundaries, and has contributed her skills to leading design firms such as IDEO, Veverka Architects, MBT Architecture (now Perkins & Will), and Starkweather Bondy. She has been part of the bay area design community for 20 years, working on award-winning projects ranging from high-end residential and light commercial construction, to academic institutions and R+D laboratories.
Mona received her professional Master’s degree in Architecture from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design where she studied under Pritzker-Prize winning architect, Rem Koolhaas. She holds a B.A. in Architecture, as well as Minors in Conservation & Resource Studies and City & Regional Planning from the University of California at Berkeley.
Hoi is one of those renaissance ladies who can do all things design. She is a design junkie and a big city girl at heart. From architect to product designer to marketing guru, she’s done it all. When she’s not off travelling the world, you may find her here at Re:modern as our resident idea-bouncer-off-er.
Brandi is a writer, storyteller, and alchemist. She’s also the super talented one-woman show who coded up our website to the exacting standards of a design professional. You should contact her for all your web development needs at BrandiBernoskie.com. Really, she’s the best!
